The inaugural session of DENOVO (International social work conference and students meet jointly organised by De Paul school of social work, DiST, Angamaly, India and James Cook University, Australia) was inaugurated on Dec 7th. Dr. Jessey L (HoD, School of Social work) delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Abraham Francis (Asso. prof. and head, social work, JCU Australia) delivered the conference theme and he also discussed about the 12 years’ collaboration of DiST and JCU. Rev. Dr. Johny Mangalath VC (Principal of DiST college) delivered the presidential address. The chief guests were Mr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta IPS (Deputy inspector general of police, DIG, Ernakulam Range Appellate Authority, Kochi range) and Mr. M P Joseph IAS (Rtd) Former additional chief secretary Govt. of kerala. The inaugural address was delivered by Mr. Neeraj Kumar. Gupta IPS. The honour of the ceremony was Mr. MP Joseph IAS. Mr. Ashwin Mathew (Asst. Prof. School of Social Work, DiST Angamaly) delivered the vote of thanks.
