The Department of Media and Communication has also formed Journalism Club “Swa.Le” wherein classes, competitions, workshops are conducted for students to get better awareness about journalism and its myriad prospects. The club is a platform for budding journalism students to acquire their skills in the field of journalism and other media professions.

1. Every PG Journalism students and other media students are the members of Swa-Le club
by default.
2. There will be a teacher in-charge every year to co-ordinate the activities of the

3. Every year, elected students as office bearers will be responsible for the smooth

"Empower the Imagination"
Academy of Visual Arts and Sciences ( AVAS) - an association of De Paul School of Media & Communication, aims to give an opportunity for media students studying in De Paul Institute of Science and Technology, Angamaly to explore in creative thinking, imagination and journalistic skills in the field of Short Films, Television Bulletins, Photo Journalism, Wall Journals, Lab Journals and Creative Designs.
Excellent students will give recognition and motivation with Certificate of Award of Merit for best works they produce in the field of Animated Show Reels, Photo journalism, Lab journals and other Creative Designs.
The students are given an opportunity to exhibit their works through preview screening facilitated to them.
To give an opportunity for media students to explore in creative thinking, imagination and journalistic skills in the various field of media.
