The MA JMC 21 and MA MM 21, Semester 4 batch students of the School of Media & Communication went for their study tour from March 13th - 17th, 2023 to COORG-CHIKMAGALUR-UDUPI as part of their curriculum. The journey began on 13th March 2023, evening. Students reached Coorg on 14th March morning. They visited the Harangi Dam, Golden Temple and Nisargadhama Nature Park in Kushalnagar. Then they travelled to Chikmagalur and had Jeep trekking and on the last day they travelled to Udupi and Malpe Beach.

The School of Media & Communication, Multimedia Department, BA Multimedia 2021 batch visited Athirapilly waterfalls for one day as a part of their academic field visit on 8th August 2023. The sessions included an assignment regarding notifying the good and bad practices against the environment in the tourist premises and submitting a field report. The practical session ought to help students think and capture the supporting and opposing environment practices in a tourist place.

The School of Media and Communication (Journalism) organised a one-day Industrial Vistit and interaction with Media One channel, Calicut on July 05, 2023. 26 students of MA JMC 2021 & MA JMC 2022 batches and 3 faculties visited the Media One Headquaters at Velliparamba, Kozhikkode. The Director of Media One Academy Russell interacted with the students. The students were given an opportunity to learn the live telecast and scheduling of news broadcasting in the channel. They visited the programme studio, PCR, MCR, live news production and had a first-hand experience of television production. Each area was explained to the students in detail by the Media One staff.

The School of Media and Communication (Department of Animation) in association with IQAC Conducted Animation day Program exhibition in associated with Dignito Fest 2023 and International Animation Day (Oct 28) on 9th and 10th of November 2023 at Dist Campus. The exhibition was planned for BAAV 21, BA Animation 2022 and BA Animation 2023 batch. Around 100 students from both the batches attended the exhibition. Students got an opportunity to have practical knowledge conducting the Art Works Installations.
