National Press Day was observed by commemorating the newspaper media that started from the struggles and now became the industrial sector. Media One Chief Broadcast Journalist Toby Johnson was the chief guest at the program which started at 10.00 am. Head of School of Media Communication Dr. Nirmal Jacob's welcome speech followed by  College Principal. Rev. Fr. Dr. John Mangalath VC presided. Rev. Fr. Dr. Robin Chittuparambil VC, Rev. Fr. Anoop Mathew Malieckal VC gave a small speech. Toby Johnson held the official inauguration of Swale Club where media students mobilized with the idea of ​​'Reveal the Real'. He said as part of the keynote speech that the rising media generations should hold on to Bhagat Singh's words that they should "fight without fear" and move forward. He also interacted with the students about the challenges faced by the media in freedom of expression.
