"Say No to Ragging"

The College has a vigilant committee takes measures to repeatedly remind students of the consequences of ragging and ensures that parents and new students are made aware of their rights. An offense of ragging may be charged either on a written complaint by the affected or on an independent finding of the Anti-Ragging Cell.

Anti-ragging Cell is in operation under the overall charge of the Principal. Students are advised to bring cases of ragging (either in the college campus or in the hostel) to the notice of the Principal/members of anti-ragging committee/teachers/hostel wardens. The offenders shall be liable for punishment with imprisonment and fine. Offenders may be expelled from the institution.

Establishment of Anti Ragging Committee (As per All India Council for Technical Education notified Regulation for prevention and prohibition of ragging in AICTE approved Technical Institutions vide No. 37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009 dated 01.07.2009).

Vision

To create a ragging-free environment on the campus through inculcating a culture of healthy friendship and dignified equality among students.

Mission

To maintain a constant watch and vigil over ragging on the campus, to spread awareness against ragging among students and to take corrective measures when necessary.

Objectives

  • 1. To build, cultivate, and foster a supportive socio-academic atmosphere on campus.
  • 2. Creating and sustaining a high level of confidence among new students and their parents/guardians, such that they feel welcomed and supported rather than and terrified.
  • 3. To create a disciplined environment by providing a clear message that ragging will not be tolerated, and that any act of ragging will be prosecuted and punished.

ANTI RAGGING SQUAD

An Anti-Ragging Squad is a rapid-response enforcement team constituted by the institution to prevent, monitor, and immediately act against any incident of ragging on campus, hostels, or surrounding areas.

It works under the guidance of the Anti-Ragging Committee and follows UGC Anti-Ragging Regulations
