Examination Cell is one of the active bodies in college which regularly coordinates and manages both internal and external examinations taking place in the college. Scheduling internal examinations, sorting and distributing question papers, timely evaluation and publication of consolidated mark list and coordinating university examinations by allocating duties and seating arrangements are ensured by the Examination Committee

Teaching and evaluation are the two sides of a coin. Examination cell plays a key role in evaluation part. The examination cell co-ordinates with Mahatma Gandhi University regarding all matters related to the University examinations. Any information either received or required to be sent to the University is being dealt within the cell. The Examination Cell in DIST was headed by the Chief Superintendent of Examinations (Principal) with supporting staff. The Prime responsibility of Examination Cell is conducting of all examinations (Both Internal and External Exams) in fair and systematic manner under the directions of the Chief Superintendent of Examinations. All exams are conducting under CCTV surveillance.

To evolve an intellectual, valid and effective examination and evaluation system that upholds the confidentiality and the challenges with newer demands of today's era.

• 1. To encourage and train the students to follow the examination code of conduct and disciplinary rules.
• 2. To discourage and prevent aberrant behaviours to ensure discipline and sanctity of the examination system.
• 3. To identify the underachievers based upon their performance and refer them for intense coaching, guidance or counselling.
