The Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Moodle Mastery was held from 22nd to 26th July 2024 at the DiST PG Lab, aimed at training faculty members on effectively using Moodle, an open-source Learning Management System (LMS). The program, led by Asst. Prof. Stalin A from the School of Management, focused on equipping faculty with the skills to create, manage, and enhance online courses on Moodle. Key objectives included introducing the platform, training on course creation, assessment tools, Moodle customization, and integration of Moodle into teaching practices. Participants engaged in a mix of theoretical sessions, hands-on activities, and discussions, which helped them gain confidence in using Moodle for course management and student engagement.

The five-day FDP covered topics such as creating and editing course content, using assessment tools like quizzes and assignments, managing discussion forums, and tracking student progress. Key highlights included expert guidance, interactive sessions, and real-time hands-on training, enabling faculty to create their own courses and assessments. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with faculty members expressing a strong desire to apply the knowledge gained to enhance their courses.
