The Department places a strong emphasis on research and innovation, reflected in its various initiatives
designed to foster a culture of intellectual growth and academic excellence. The annual E-Journal Dataquest,
published under the banner of INNOVISION for MCA students, is a testament to this commitment, providing a
platform for students and faculty to showcase their research capabilities and publish papers that enhance the
institution's academic visibility. Faculty members have collectively published over 35 papers in prestigious
national and international journals, presented numerous research works at conferences, and participated in 82
Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), demonstrating an active and thriving research ecosystem.
Additionally, the department has been publishing the magazine Leading Edges since 2017 to nurture research and development skills further. Currently, four faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D., seven have completed M.Phil., and two have qualified UGC NET. Remarkable ongoing research projects include Dr. Ambily Pramitha P.’s Ph.D. work on "Hybrid Classifier for Malayalam Sentimental Analysis Modified TF-IDF Features," Mr. Rajesh B.’s research on "Detection of Wild Animals on the Peak of Summer to Avoid Vehicle-Animal Collision," Mrs. Laiby Thomas’s work on "IoT Security," Mrs. Soumya M.’s research on "Early Detection of Autism Spectrum Disorders Using Machine Learning Techniques," and Mrs. Rosemary Varghese’s exploration of "Health Prediction Using Deep Learning."
