De Paul School of Social Work has continuous student exchange programmes with James Cook University (JCU), Australia[cite: 31]. Every year, a team of more than ten JCU students along with a faculty member stay on our campus, which enables our students and the college to improve cultural competency and broaden their minds[cite: 31]. Likewise, at least three students and a faculty member from De Paul School of Social Work visit JCU for a period of one month to imbibe social work practices, learning, and cultural perceptiveness from Australia[cite: 31].

Ever since the collaboration between JCU and DiST began, this exchange programme has been in high demand[cite: 31]. Both JCU and DiST collaboratively support students and faculty members in accomplishing this incredible programme[cite: 31]. The year 2020 marked a remarkable milestone in the history of the School of Social Work, as it celebrated the 10th year of collaboration between DiST and JCU[cite: 31].

In the academic year 2019-2020, faculties PETER JONES & SANDRA NANCY CROAKER, along with 12 students—Elysia Macrae Dickenson, Finola Chinami Rytkonen, Jolie Hunt, Teegan Fowler, Renee Anne Francis, Tiarne Jai Hickey, Chelene Groube, Jane Kearney, Kaylee Mckenzie, Sydnee Baskett & Atlanta Maree Gifford—from James Cook University visited DiST and participated in various exchange activities[cite: 31]. They enthusiastically participated in the Human Rights Day celebration and Consulate meeting[cite: 31]. They had home experiences at students' homes and agency orientation visits at Award Chalakudy, WSE, Bethsada, and Daivadan[cite: 31]. Furthermore, Nikitha Elizabeth Jacob, Neenu Elizabath M Varkey, and Dhrusya Vijayan from the MSW 2018-2020 batch, along with faculty member Anjana Vimalasery, visited JCU in the year 2019[cite: 31].
