"You Know, You Grow"
De Paul Institute of Science & Technology, Angamaly (DiST), approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to M.G University, Kottayam, has made its mark on the educational landscape of higher education in Kerala since its inception in the year 2002. Over the two decades of its existence, DiST has embraced a system which caters to the holistic development of its student community. It has nurtured and promoted the academic as well as non-academic domains through different platforms. DiST clubs is one such venture, and the quiz club is a part of that. The main objective of the quiz club is to attract the quizzers of DiST and help them to develop their quizzing skills. The main three thrust areas of quiz club policy are team building, continuous self-enrichment, and improving organising capabilities.
Quiz club is a platform that is open to all the undergraduate and postgraduate students of DiST. Anyone who is interested in quizzing can join by registering their names. The scope of activities of the quiz club is at three levels- intra, inter, and external. At the intra level, programmes will be exclusively for club members. At the inter-level, programmes will be conducted between departments. At the external level, programmes will be either for outside participants or for our students participating in programmes organised by other institutions.

To conduct various quizzes so as to encourage the students to look beyond their textual knowledge.
Any student of DiST (both UG and PG) can be part of the quiz club by filling in a registration form. Their membership will be valid for the entire period of their studies in DiST. If any student wishes to cancel their membership, then a request letter in writing has to be submitted to the faculty coordinator. Membership is free as of now. If for any purpose, any financial need arises, then the same shall be submitted to the management and, after getting approval, the decision may be modified accordingly.
A general body meeting of all the members of the club will be convened to select the office bearers for the academic year. There will be a committee of 11 members. Duties and responsibilities of each office bearer will be communicated in writing. The office bearers are expected to function in consultation with faculty coordinators. Selection of members is done in a democratic style.
The student committee will be responsible for organising all the meetings of the quiz club. Quiz club committee members should meet at least once in a month and decide on the activities for the coming month and evaluate the performance of the previous month. Proper documentation and minutes of these meetings are to be maintained. The office bearers can be assigned the responsibility of organising the monthly regular quiz programmes for the quiz club members. Monthly quizzes can be conducted either online or offline.
A general body meeting of all the members may be convened if there is any special decision to be made or events to be organized. All such communication could be made through the WhatsApp group.
