De Paul Institute of Science & Technology, Angamaly (DiST), approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to M G University, Kottayam has made its mark in the educational landscape of higher education in Kerala since its inception in the year 2002. Over these two decades of its existence DIST has embraced a system which caters to the holistic development of its student community. Clubs and Associations are platforms where the students explore their career, practice their craft, have fun and socialize at the same time. Theatrical arts is one such talent that should be developed among the students who have the potential for the same. DiST has established a drama club which plans and executes programmes for the students for the whole year.

The vision of drama club is to cultivate a community of highly-skilled artists, scholars, and citizens who can work with the world as creative, nurturing, and compassionate individuals.

The mission of drama club is to provide youngsters an opportunity to dream, explore, think, and connect through imaginative storytelling onstage and also to learn about themselves, interacting with others, expressing their creativity and the power of confidence.

1. To put on quality performances for the students and general public
2. To provide its members with an enriching and well-rounded theatre experience while developing the competencies in each one of them.
3. To build intellectual and aesthetic understanding of the craft and techniques of theatre arts.

1. The officers of the club are not the only ones who have responsibilities. Each member is a vital part of the club and has an obligation to take an active and informed part in the proceedings of the club’s meetings.
2. It is the responsibility of each member to attend all regular meetings and whenever possible to participate in the projects, trips, and activities which the club organizes.
3. The members are expected to be at all scheduled rehearsals and performances for all plays in which he/she accept a role.
4. If he/she is unable to attend a rehearsal for any reason, he/she must inform the teacher in-charge in person (except in the case of absence in the college).
5. All costumes, props, etc. must be properly taken care of.
6. Any member may be dismissed from the Drama Club because of misconduct, failure to meet his/her responsibilities to the club, or for being absent from more than three meetings and/or activities. An acceptable excuse must be furnished to the secretary for the absence.
